UTC 2025-05-22 12:00:00 Adjustments announcement of ISML 2024 Couples Tournament Due to known technical issues that prevented the Seeding match of the Couples Tournament from proceeding, Staff decided to adjust the format and subsequent schedule of ISML 2024 Couples Tournament. The adjusted format is as follows: Thirty-two (32) Couples will be split into Four (4) groups of Eight (8). Couples in each group will compete against other Couples in another designated group in an out-of-group single round-robin format. A ranking system for each group will be utilized to record the Couples' results. The iterative process mentioned in X.A.3 of ISML 2024 Charter will be used to update the rankings within a group. At the end of Group Stage, after all tiebreakers have been applied, the top Four (4) Couples in each group will advance to the Elimination Stage. Sixteen (16) Couples advanced to the Elimination Stage will be split into Four (4) groups of Four (4). Couples in the same group will compete with Stepladder rule. In Stepladder rule, Couples with lowest seed will compete first. Only the winner of that match will compete against Couples with higher seed. The 1st and 3rd ranked Couples from the same group of Group Stage and the 2nd and 4th ranked Couples from another re-designated group will be split into a same group. Couples are seeded according to their performances in the Group Stage. The winner of each group will advance to the Semifinals, and Four (4) Couples will compete through a single-elimination tournament.
