Explanation Regarding the Ranking of Arena 5 in Preliminary Period Round 6
The Staff have received inquiries concerning the final ranking of contestants in Arena 5 (Stella League Preliminary Period Round 3, Male Group 3). We now provide the following explanation in accordance with the rules: According to Section X.C.4 of the ISML 2026 Charter: “If multiple contestants receive the same number of votes in a match, the higher-seeded contestant receives the higher rank.” In this arena, two contestants—Shinji Ikari and Dio Brando—received the same number of votes. Between them, Dio Brando obtained more nominations during the Nomination Phase and therefore held a higher seed order under Section X.A. Consequently, Dio Brando is ranked 4th in the group, while Shinji Ikari is ranked 5th. Additionally, the Staff have noted that due to a formatting error during webpage editing, the above Section X.C.4 was incorrectly merged and displayed as Section X.C.3.4 on the Charter page of the Website, which may have caused confusion among voters. The error has now been corrected, and we sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding this may have caused.
